Rep. kit 6 for Tesla X and
Tesla S front, air suspension type adaptive, 2019-21 models. Especially useful to
have on hand when repairing leaks down on the air strut.
The set consists of 10 parts.
1× aluminum ring
1× outer o-ring
2× inner o-rings
1× stop ring
1x c-ring with
"ears" (swap as needed)
1x o-ring to top cover
(swap as needed)
1x strips (for fastening rubber protection top)
1x air nipple
1x hose cutter
The o-ring under the top plate of the air spring, can also be a source of leaks. This o-ring is usually reusable, but clean it thoroughly and sand the surfaces well. Read more about this in section 8B here.
Be aware that the fork on
the old air strut can be difficult to loosen, so you should know what you are
doing if you want it off. However, it is possible to knock down the aluminum
ring on the original shock absorber without loosening the fork. But make sure the fork
is angled correctly in relation to the screws on top of the air suspension and
the 'ADS' box, when you put it back together.

much the same. The most important difference to the adaptive type, is that the
outer o-ring on the aluminum ring is much larger, and some more force is needed
to loosen (have subtitles on, some extra
info there).

We recommend using air pressure to press the plastic cover over the outer o-ring on the aluminum ring (see video, time 18:45-20-10). The air filling hose used for this, as well as for pressure testing the air spring when the repair is complete, can be found here.
