We encourage all customers to use payment on delivery or bank transfer, as these are a cheap form of settlement that contributes to our low prices. QUALITY CONTROL. All our air struts are pressure tested and thoroughly reviewed before dispatch. The transition from the cuff at the top of the suspension is also sealed with tec7. Similarly, down with the aluminum ring, a joint is laid (see pictures). In both places this is to prevent sand/brine from entering and formation of corrosion and oxidation, which is the cause of most leaks and has been a problem on the original ones.
INSTALLATION. If you don't install it yourself, there are many workshops that do this. The price per pair is usually around NOK 3-5000. You may call around and ask if you can bring your own parts. It's also a good idea to buy an extra air nipple and hose cutter.
ADAPTATION. This air strut fits both left- and right side. Tesla recommends to replace them in pairs (passanger and driver side at the samt time). This is also our recommendation. It is of course entirely possible to change only one side. But in some cases you may get problems with uneven height adjustment. The ECU/Software may also respond unclearly to different types of struts, although this is often resolved by resetting the level sensors.
PART NUMBER. Always check original spare part number or OEM reference before ordering. The air strut fits both rear (RWD)- and all wheel drive cars (AWD/DM), produced from April 2016 (facelift versions), air suspension type standard (not adaptive or active). The Tesla Parts Catalog operates still operates with different main numbers on each side: 1067461 left and 1067466 right, followed by either 25C for AWD vehicles and 26B for the RWD variant. The part price at Tesla is NOK 16.100 including VAT.
WARRANTY. There is a 2-year warranty on Vigor® air struts up to 80,000 km, also if you install them yourself. If you go DIY, however, we assume that you know what you are doing. If you are unsure, please visit a workshop for installation.
MOUNTING PLATE/SHOCK SPONGE. You can in some cases reuse the old mounting plate & sponge thats on your old air strut. Or you can just order the air strut with a brand new set below. If the option is not clickable, we are sold out.
IF YOU ARE A COMPANY ABROAD. You can send your order to post@teslasuspension.com to avoid VAT. You will receive an invoice, and once payment is confirmed, the delivery is on its way. Remember that shipping, import taxes and fees are added. There are no additional costs for your company beyond what the invoice price states.
